vettes from a performance standpoint a pretty impressive in z06 trim. I think vettes have the image of your wealthy hick who is buying the corvette badass image, and doesn't really know much about the performance characteristics of their vehicle other than they put the pedal down and it goes fast. I don't really like corvettes, or comaro's (sp?) or anything along those lines as far as the newer models go - i think american cars in general are currently cheaply put together, and even the new corvette feels plasticy inside and not as solid as even an e30. However, i do like the new mustang with the gt headlight setup - looks almost euro with the four round headlights

if I had had the time to type all this, these would be to exact words I would have typed. the new mustang is pretty damn cool. guys that buy vettes don't know their potential and don't drive them like they should, just like every viper and porsche owner i've ever encountered.

I agree with the statement someone made earlier about all of them being the same. I think that the car is impressive, but I hate how every one on the road looks the same.

the c6's look great. as far as ALL owners of corvettes not knowing how to drive/modify them, that is the most ignorant statement i have heard in awhile...i have a frend who owns a c5, and it is very cleanly modified, and he can drive the shit outa that car...

Alrite folks! Gather 'round! We got one guy that knows how to drive his vette! Well no shit there are people that know the potential of the cars they drive, but I'd say close to 98% are pussies and buy vettes and vipers and porsches for the "show". At least the guys who buy saleen or gt versions of the mustang have heavy feet. and i said nothing about modding vettes, hell if I were to see a modded vette, that guy better be opening up on the throttle from time to time.

And the most that they might do is a little speeding down the freeway .

That has been the way Vette owners are perceived by me untill they prove otherwise , either by their car knowledge or showing up at a track other than the 1320 .

And as far as Vettes go , they have all pretty much been junk (except in a straight line) until the last generation and the current generation .
These new cars are a whole other car completely that what the Vette ever was and they can actually perform .
The Z06 simply kicks ass .
Although the forced induction M3's always kill them on the track .
