My coach wants to buy my car.

I gave him a ride home from practice today, since his bike had a flat.
After talking a bit about rowing, I surprised to hear he was interested in my car.
He said that I had kept it very nicely, and that it seemed to run smooth.
Then, he asked me if I wish to sell it when I go to college, and I said "uhh..."
He says that he'll buy it off me for $3k if I decide to sell it next summer.
What do you guys think? I bought it for $800, but put a lot of time into it...
.. got it to pass smog, brand new suspension, and refreshed a lot of things.

      Don't do it.

it depends on if you want a car in college. if you dont, then go for it. seem's like a no brainer if you're going to sell it. you already have a buyer at a great price.

i dont get why you wouldnt want a car in college though....

The thing is .... I'm pretty confused myself. I am definitely gonna have a car sophomore year, but freshman year is a no-no, at all the UC's, and private's that I'm applying to....
My car has a lot of sentimental value to me, just like the Peugeot. It's been in Germany, and then with my aunt since it was new. I sorta grew up around it as well, It intrigued my passion towards BMW, as well as other German Automobiles.
And I do love it ... I love the color combo, and the four doors.

haha, no shit? is he on the 505turbo.com forums? I have a non-turbo, but I've done a bit to the pushrod engine. That car is staying for as long as I live.

Keep it. If you sell your e30, satan eats your soul.

^ Yeah, that's the direction I'm currently leaning in. I was planning a M50/turbo swap during college, or maybe next spring/summer, when the burden of College Apps is over me. I'm just afraid that I may becoming a hoarder, and I don't like the thought...

No way. You'll regret it everyday after.
