    New Toy!

Just scored a 1966 Honda CT200 for $30 off a my friend's Dad. He had bought it from a guy who had it sitting the bushes for $30 and realized he didn't have the time to do anything with it.

A cool little toy to putt around on and have some fun. Almost everything is there, except the rear lights. Theres some surface rust, but that's no big deal. The engine is seized so Im going to add some Marvel Mystery to the cylinder this week to try to get that fixed.

The guy who my friend originally bought it from had no clue what he had... as this is worth $350 in current condition :)

    Haha heres a pic

Oh and anybody else have another recommendation to get the engine unseized? The thing gets into 1st and Neutral... not sure about second. The kickstarter though wont budge which leads me to believe its seized?

No that is the cub 50... totally different, but also very similar.

This is 90cc the cub is a 50. Both are off road capable though and road legal (mine needs the lights though).

Overfill it and you'll probably hydrolock the cylinder and crack it.

put a little in and let it sit for a day or two, then try to hand crank it. Thats how I unsiezed a motor before

Im $42 in... $30 for bike, $2 for Spark Plugs, $4 for 16oz. of Marvel Mystery, and $6 for a Kobalt 18mm deep impact socket (for the spark plug).

I pulled out the old plug, it was clean. No carbon or white spots,a nd the oil is clean too. Im beginning to think the transmission took a shit and the guy just parked it :(

Let's hope not. Im prepared for a rebuild, and will likely have to pull the head off soon... its only 3 bolts!

Haha anyways, any ideas why kickstarter wont go?

                              Symptoms:
                              - The kickstarter is stuck, won't budge.
                              - Gear shift lever works, and as far as I can tell will get into N and gear. Although it goes infinite amounts in each direction? Is that normal? Remember it's a semiauto tranny
                              - Will roll in N, but not gear. Rear wheel just locks up

Any ideas? My plans for this project are a rat rod look, aka leave body rusty and crusty, with a 24mm carb and a straight pipe out the back. It needs new exhaust and Im not willing to pay $150 for a new and restrictive system. Im thinking just like a motorcycle size glasspack at the end of the pipe? Also I would like to spray the whole engine and exhaust matte black.
