      i say good riddance. i saw 5 assholes on segways almost get wiped out by cars cuz they couldnt stop at a red light at the bottom of a hill. (im only bitter cuz i was trying to take pictures and they kept stopping in the background...)

        Seriously? I mean, it's really not THAT amazing. I designed a controller that would keep an inverted pendulum upright in the second quarter of a controls class. It's a very similar concept, and my controller worked pretty well. You want an impressive feat of technology, try the controllers in a fighter plane with forward-swept wings.
