My g/f is very much into cars. She currently owns 4 (2 MINI's, a '73 Volvo & a '79 Spitfire). Two past cars were E36 M3's ('95 & '97). When I bought my E30, we immediately tore it apart so she could work her detailing magic on it.
However, her past experience with the M3 forums did a very good job of souring her on BMW car forums. Just way too much testosterone spread about... let's face it... men in groups + performance cars = assholes of the highest order... no matter how reasonably normal they can be otherwise... We attended one gtg with the M3 group. That was enough...
