First Real Project - Extremely Happy With Results

As many of you have seen or those that know me personally I am a history buff and love Urban Exploring. Combining those two for me would be awesome? Well that actually came true for me recently. I have been working with the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation the past couple of months. Yearly they assembly a Places in Peril list and I was able to photograph most of them. Unfortunately we started working together after some had already been photographed. Can't wait for next year when my time frame for completion isn't a single weekend!

In the end I spend 48 hours in my E30 racking up hundreds of miles on Georgia backroads to make it to all the spots. Some were easy as they were downtown. The other unfortunately thing with the limited time frame is getting access inside was not possible due to the timing. Next year I hope to improve and schedule more time at each location AND gaining access to the inside.

Legal Historic Urban and Rural Exploring and my first cover shot. It was a fun event at the release party at a historic building in downtown Atlanta. Got to meet the people that owned, once owned, lived in etc the buildings. Passed out business cards and mingled. It was cool when the slide show started and hear the excitement and enjoyment as the photos went up on a big screen.

There are a lot of shots now released on my flickr but I will put up 1 shot of each location and a link to their site. First cover shot came from this. Isn't anything too crazy but I am happy. Link below has stories and details of the sites and the perils they face.
