      It's a private school about 400mi away.

Did you check with the private schools you're interested in?

If they're from a remotely legit CC, they should transfer.

Take out loans, if you have too...Hell most people buy Chevy Tahoes that are more expensive than an education at a decent school...

            talk about fucked-up priorities...

Suck it up and go in debt a little bit...it would be the best investment you would ever make...as long as you don't take some stupid shit like philosphy or under-water basket weaving.

Me too, it sucks. I haven't had time to do anything.

I've racked up over 70 credits at my cc and I think about 90% are transferring to the state college that I'm going to for engineering. Fortunately the place where I work will pay up to $2000 a semester for classes that contribute to any degree useful to the corporation. I think a lot of well sorted companies are helping their employees with school tuition and maybe yours would too?

I'm in the same boat. I took the past year off to make it easier for my wife to finish nursing school. I've been at the same company for 4 years and have doubled my salary and moved up 4 positions. The sick part is if I go to school for something specialized I'll start with a salary similar to or less than mine now - so I've determined I just have to go get a BA to lift my glass ceiling. I'll be attending community college with some university mixed in.

this is my situation, it will take 3-4 years to get my degree, and then 2-4 years "experience" to get back to the earning potential I have now + the debt for school. I will do it but its going to be on my terms and when I can afford to do it.

Decided today for various reason that I'm probably going to quit my current job and go to a university full time. Need to find a night time job that isn't awful....
