Fortunately the place where I work will pay up to $2000 a semester for classes that contribute to any degree useful to the corporation. I think a lot of well sorted companies are helping their employees with school tuition and maybe yours would too?Comment

I'm in the same boat. I took the past year off to make it easier for my wife to finish nursing school. I've been at the same company for 4 years and have doubled my salary and moved up 4 positions. The sick part is if I go to school for something specialized I'll start with a salary similar to or less than mine now - so I've determined I just have to go get a BA to lift my glass ceiling. this is my situation, it will take 3-4 years to get my degree, and then 2-4 years "experience" to get back to the earning potential I have now + the debt for school.
