I'm just stoked The Black Dahlia Murder has a new album coming this June.

The last one disappointed me, whereas all their efforts before that were fucking phenomenal.

I used to LOVE TBDM. Then I lost interest for a few years and started listening to them earlier this week. Now I'm in love with them again. I bought an ESP M-III from John Kempainen when he was in the band. Custom wound Seymour Duncans, Sperzels, and an original Floyd Rose. It was TOOOOOOOOOOO ballin'. Until somebody stole it. I know it sounds like a load of BS, but it's not. But I digress. I wouldn't expect much from their new album. I haven't listened to Deflorate, but if you didn't like it, then it's probably because it's missing that "zing" that Unhallowed, Miasma, and Nocturnal had. Nocturnal had a little less than the first two. That's because the band has been spending years working with producers. While the producers help them improve their sound and get better, they lose all the personality and zing and specialness that their older music had. Still good, but moving toward the boring and generic side of things. Same with the newest Rings of Saturn album, and every Whitechapel song ever. Good, but really really generic and boring.

But I probably didn't give it a fair shake either.
