God I feel old. Growing up and watching the 'hardcore' scene develop. Seeing bands that are now corporate standards at Hot Topic live... and seeing a lot of these bands at really small shitty venues. I just wanna be 15 again :)

I used to be really into death metal till I stepped back and found how much of it is annoying and incredibly gay.

The only bands I like that are metal related now are Suicide Silence, Poison the Well (which really isnt metal at all), and Between the Buried and Me.

Between the Buried and me is my favorite non computer generated music of all time consider its complexity both lyrically and musically, and its A.D.D. change in beats/tempo/mood and since the older I am getting the worse my a.d.d. is the more this band is growing on me.

I had always heard of Meshuggah but had never heard their music. Caught "Bleed" on Slacker Radio the other day at the gym, went and picked up ObZen today. I see me getting the rest of their stuff ASAP.
