For me, there is only one vodka. You'll find it on the bottom shelf in a handy unbreakable $20 half-gallon plastic bottle. Plus, I know it's the smoothest most mixable because it says so on the label.

^ I never thought of that as smooth. I love the Polish Luksusowa potato one best. I cannot taste it till it hits the back of my mouth. Best yet for mixing, only taste the stuff you mix it with.

Also anything that comes in plastic bottles taste funny. Glass just does not taint the flavor IMO.

Best Vodka I ever had was at a b-day party for some Russian girl. All her Russian buddies were there, and one of the things they brought over was a case of some delicious Russian Potato vodka. I have no idea what they were saying (all Russian), but that was some DAMN good vodka that they kept handing to me. BEST vodka (and second best spirit) I've EVER had. I just wish that I hadn't gotten so drunk I couldn't remember what it was...

I'm with these guys. If it's Irish it's Jameson, if it's American it's Evan. Vodka is like whiskey but without the delicious flavor.

Gentleman Jack for me, I drink it every day, it's good every day stuff, light and easy. Now if I wanna step it up I whip out the Woodford Reserve, awesome small batch bourbon, 45% ABV, it's a bit of a ball-buster.

Vodka is not really my thing, but I do know good from bad. Cheap every day stuff, Seagram's Vodka. The bottle is ugly but that's not what you're paying for, its the liquid. Just as good quality as Grey Goose but for a fraction of the price. If I want to go big, Crystal Head Vodka. It's not just the bottle or the celebrity behind it, its some clean tasting vodka. I could drink it straight if I wanted to. Also, Dan Akroyd is the man.

I've drank a lot of Goose, Belvedere, Kettle One, and Ciroc, but just recently at my girlfriend's birthday party, her Russian boss brought over a Russian vodka that put everything else to shame. Oh so smooth.
It was called Russian Diamond.

With all this mention of Russian Standard, I want to go try that one too. I just haven't found any good sources of Russian vodkas around here.
