How many of you put off papers until the day before?

I'm stuck trying to write a minimum 7 page paper about the Waco siege, I've found that I'm not as good as I used to be at just bullshitting my way through a paper the night before. Somehow my talent has left me..

Anybody else fuck around until the last moment then write an important paper?

I waited 4 hours before an 8 page ap paper was due to start it. I had like 2 weeks to do it, but just kept putting it off. I really need to stop doing that:o

It is okay to start writing at the last minute (the evening prior) if you are still looking for your structure or angle. Better be well prepared, and then write clear ideas. I'd say just documenent your subject (lots of reading) then sit on it. Go watch a movie and have a beer. While you will ot think about your subject, the angle and the structure of your subject will appear by itself.

^ see thats what I always used to do, and it worked. I did it for the first two years of college, but now all of a sudden its just not applicable. It took me 12 hours to write a paper about three constitutional powers earlier this month. Gotta change my ways I guess.

I put off my paper work all week and do it the day I need to mail it into the office and it takes for fucking ever, I hate paper work and I have a metric shit ton if it every day. Does that count??????

I had a chronic procrastination problem in college. Most of my undergraduate essays were done the night before. I like the rush of having a tight deadline, among other things.

I put papers and essays off until usually the day before or 2 days before it is due. I fidn if i start workign on it then i can rally power through it and write a good paper. if i start with manay days to do it i cant write for shit. I also do this with regualr homework aswell, today ive been putting off my german homework since 4:00pm. I told my self i wil start it around 9:00pm.

right now im at CC so the assignments aren't to lengthy, the longest paper ive had to do will be the 6-7 page research paper for my logic class. due Dec 9, which i am dreading. Im not that good at research papers, but i am improving.
I think when i transfer to a 4yr school ill probably have start assignments alot sooner, because of increased difficulty and length requirements.

A few weeks ago i had a few essays and a group paper due in one week. It felt really good after i got it all done though. A sense of accomplishment.

I'm doing it right now. I've found that I write better when under pressure. I'll be doing it again Wednesday night. And then again on the 8th. Its the only way to write. My thoughts always seem disjointed when i take the time and write a 10 page paper over the course of a couple of weeks.
