    1/2" impact

Aside from the Mac and Snap-on ones which we all know have proven their worth, what are some other brands to look into for a good 1/2" impact? The Mac guy at our shop has one with "quiet technology" on sale for $410, so I'll get that if I can't find one for cheaper that's comparable with a good warranty.

I really like my Snapon MG325

Not super high torque but I think it's a bit underrated because I've almost never had it not be able to get stuff off. And it was only $340 new

I bought a decently good craftmans when I bought my air compressor a few years ago. When I was buying tools for school I got another impact with everything, it was a bluepoint. It was just a rebrand of the craftsman I already had, but much cheaper.

            Edit:

ingersoll rand makes some pretty wicked good impacts

I have this one for about 6 years. I haven't used it much in the past 2. I have it rebranded as a Craftsman. Best gun ever.

This--beat the hell out of mine and still deleivers the torque. I have buddies who invite me and my gun for beer when crank bolts are involved.

I have two of these, amazing impacts.

                    1+ on thread/

P.S. Snapon is over rated, broke my 1/2 around 6 months or so. My titanium is beasting along well over a year now, NO ISSUES.

IR titaniums are the shit, I have it in 3/8" and routinely take off wheels with it when the 1/2" is out of reach. For 1/2" I have an IR quiet, got it for $80ish lightly used on ebay and it hasn't let me down. Taken off every crank bolt I've thrown at it...one of them took about a minute but it didn't lose.

Mine's red but model # rings a bell.

I have IR ti guns, but if you're on a budget I have heard really good things about the aircat brand. My buddy has one of the HF Earthquake guns and it is really powerful but super loud!

Hmm, looks like I'll have to look into the IR titanium!
What's the torque specs on it?
Also: What kind of warranty does IR offer?
