those vents bring air to the motor, this car seems to be form over function. Lets hope before it goes away there is a face lift with brakeducting

Isn't that what the kidneys and middle section are for? I'm sure you could do just fine with using the outer ducts for the brakes. The car is "only" 400hp...

Where would the Rad get air to cool the big ass V8 off with out the kidneys

I mean take the two little vents on the sides, make them brake ducts, the other "3" are for the engine.

On 2nd thought, they pull air from the wrong side:

Solution, upgrade the brakes to something track worthy, run ducts, forced ventilation if you have to.

I like the new M3. But I'd be really pissed if I took it a track only to find out it needed upgrades.
Even my 94 C280 has (functional) brake ducts. And that's not a car aspiring to be quick at the Nordschleife.
