"Oh shit, I'm going to have a kid, I can't pretend I'm 17 and spend half my monthly income on an 18 year old car anymore."

Well, I'm happy to hear that you've had an epiphany, sad that it had to be about the car. Best wishes to your new path. Never knew you played bass and stuff, should have guessed what with your infatuation with music. Anyway, as long as your doing what makes you happy that is what counts.

          we noticed.

in all honestly; stay off the boards. They'll only make you want to blow money on completely useless shit for your car. Things that have virtually no purpose (cough*window switches*cough) ;)

have a good one, hopefully my lame ass won't be here when you get back

You're reading between the wrong lines then, Charlie. Because that's not what my point is at all.

It's just not important to me right now, I've just lost interest in it for a while, no big deal. My family and doing something else with my time/money are more important.

I don't think I've really got that much that you guys would want right now.

Except for these nice, new Koni's and these cool IE stage III springs...

But those aren't going anywhere, either. ;)

                  Charlie, +1

"forum modding" does you no real good in the long run. that's why you feel empty 3 weeks later.

I for one would MUCH rather spend money on my house, or SAVE it for a house.
+1. absolutely. if i was FT or out of college, that would be where my extra $ would be going. i also might get a RE license this summer, which will help.

                  house = appreciate.

If you obsess over something for a year and wait to actually drive it, you're going to still be overly obsessed. Take a break from the obsession and see what you have been missing out on because of all the time you've spent living in your e30 world. That means cut down also on your forum time.

Josh, I know the feeling. I am trying to stop spending money on my car, all I really want for this summer is a new steering wheel. Lately, I have been feeling the urge to buy an E36 as well

Let's drive fast and have fun.

Man do you need a PNW meet. ;)

More seriously, it is good that you have decided not to spend all your $$ on your car and have found other interests too. I think that is the best place to be. Spending all your time and money on one hobby can get you sick of it fast. I'm kinda glad that I can't afford to do a bunch of mods on my car at the same time. I have too many hobbies to get them all installed and I would get sick of just working on my car all the time. Good luck with the band, but don't forget to throw a little money at the car here and there. :)

I want to get back into playing in a band too. If you were here I wanna form a band like Throwdown/Hatebreed crossed with Ministry/KMFDM.

Do you even drive many? Most suck. Only a really niceyl kept and modded 325/8is stick or M3 would do it for me.

Only thing they are good at is fooling stupid girls to think you got $$ when they don't know how old the cars are, and falling apart.

E30s can't fool all but the dumbest girls, but are dependable and easy to work on, and are FUN.
