Its cool to find out how many members of r3v would fly a plane based on how much shit it can destroy.
a light will shine down from somewhere, it will light upon you, you will experience an epiphany, and you will say to yourself, "I have to r3v."

I picked the one that I can take off in just before traffic gets bad.

I get to hear these every day going over my college campus. My friend and I were at walmart when one did a very loud passover and he commented "nothing says America more than the sound of fighter jets roaring while shopping at walmart"

Yeah, that *can* be a show stopper, though basically you just need to be able to valsalva (and they will do some extra x-rays on your initial physical). Hope this was an officer recruiter you talked to? When I was a senior in HS, the enlisted recruiter I briefly chatted with at school gave me just about every reason why I *couldn't* fly, and why I should enlist instead. Blew him off, went about my business (college, flight school, etc), and 10 years later, every time I strap into a big grey jet with "Navy" on the side, I laugh and think about how he can f*** himself :)

also side note, i got to speak with a retired veteran from world war 2 a handful of times that walked around the mall i worked at. he told me many stories and talked about how he got to fly p-47's, p-51's, p-39's and a handful of british planes. i felt privileged and honored to speak to a world war 2 vet who defending the world.
