Finally went snb today. Started when I was 10, that was like 93 Breckenridge/Vail and you didn't see many kids that age boarding back then, but the last time I went was a school trip at like 15.
Now I'm 27 and I wasn't sure I'd still like it so I got an ex-rental Dynastar almost free and vinyl'd the top matte black. Only had about two hours time on the slope today, took me 10 minutes to get the hang of it and then it was great. I'm a dumbass for ignoring the sport so long. The slope was a bit icey though.
So now I need to wake the e30 up and get a roof rack and I'm goin whenever I have time. Also planing to visit the Alps in Italy probably in Feb.
Any Snowboarders here

Step Child - JP Walker 154cm
Union Force DLX bindings
Been riding for a couple years. Mostly Colorado ( Vail, Beaver, Keystone, Breck, and Telluride). Home "mountain" is Mt Cresent. Painfully small but its 20 minutes from home. Does the job till I can make the drive to Colorado.
Planning a trip next winter, stops will include:
Jackson Hole
Bridger
Big Sky
Mt Baker
Mammoth or Heavenly
Stop in Utah ( prob Park City)
Vail
Breck
My e30 will be taking me on this ~4000 mile trip.Leave a comment:

Ive been boarding for about 9 years now. I rode a 151 burton with k2 clicker bindings for about 8 years.
I just got a new(ish) 157 burton bullet with k2 cinch bindings super cheap. I've been slowly buying good gear. I would get a jacket one year and get pants another year. now i'm finally to the point where i have everything i need.
Dude you are way too close to boyne to not go there. I live around detroit and i try to go to boyne like every other weekend. I'm going tomorrow and saturday.I love snowboarding. Been at it for 15+ years. Currently on a new Burton Process with Cartel bindings.
My parents gave me a season pass to a small resort but I'm hoping to hit up some of the bigger resorts in Michigan like Boyne. It's been ages since I've had the time/money to go to a nice place. I love carving the biggest hills and flying off the biggest jumps I can find. I envy you west coast people so much. I would do anything to spend a week at a place like Mt. Bachelor.
Hopefully i'll make it to colorado late in the season.Leave a comment:

+1 Just got the skatebanana last year, I love it. I can't wait to get up this year, and hopefully get some decent boots and bindings to go along with it.Leave a comment:

Im hopin ill have enough cash to get up a few times this year, currently rockin an o-matic Andreas Wiig pro board with flow step in bindings. At 158 its way too short for me, but its so flexy and controllable im having a hard time giving it up :DLeave a comment:

The shitty nearby places, like Ski Liberty, whitetail and Massanutten. But I have been to Wisp and Mt. High and a few other spots. I had one of those "Advantage Cards" for Liberty, whitetail and Rountop for like $20 8 hour tickets and used to hit them pretty often. Where do you go?Leave a comment:
