it really depends on the region, here in NC we dont get a whole lot. only the main roads get treated and plowed and sometimes not even that. So on a surprise snow day the city can become pretty dicey with a good number of wrecks.
but from my limited snow driving experience:
start out in 2nd gear so you dont put ANY power down or you will just spin
prepare to stop early, if you think theres a chance youll have to stop go ahead and start downshifting
do not stop on a hill, just dont do itYour signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Snow tires do WONDERS. Seems like last year I had my 4x4 Chevy Colorado in 2WD mode more than 95% of the snow storms. Here in New England we can get some pretty good amounts of snow and ice on the ground and most people just sit and pout at home all day anyways. I spent most of that time practicing my 3rd gear Snow Drifts everywhere I possibly could hahaaha. E30 can be saved for the dry though. I think you should walk out to the nearest intersection and laugh as the 5mph uncontrollable sliding accidents happen every hour on the hour :DLol 14 e30s later..

I live in the u.k, north wales to be exact, and it seems a couple of inches of snow and the whole country is fucked. I've not been able to leave my village today as the roads are lethal, its just one big road of ice. WE ARE ALL FUCKED!! Its pathetic! Yet, from what i gather, you guys just get on with it. Whats your secret? And do you really cope that well?
