    An electric car seems like fun, if it was designed from the beginning to be electric.

    I'd love to own a Tesla, or R8 E-tron.


    Otherwise electric seems clunky and grassroots and, in terms of energy production, cost, environmental damage, kind of a moot point in comparison to conventional gasoline engines.

        I sold my 94 miata to a doctor in Florida. He paid $3900 for the car and paid another $25K to convert it to electric motor that gets a range of 100miles. He said it will be the last car he will ever buy because it will last him a long time and maintenance will be easy because there is not a lot of moving parts involved in it.

            Yea, but the batteries, especially the light weight Li-Ions used in the Spyker cars, will not last forever. As you can see in your cell phone or laptop.

              The Tesla is awesome to drive, but batteries weigh ALOT, so it's not as fun as a Lotus
