It's not really about how good you are nowadays, it's really about who you know or how much of your own money you can throw at the media to bump your Crock of shit like seen with the DUMBFUCK at the top.Last edited by IRON-E; 01-20-2011, 07:15 PM.@IRON-E30 aka Edwin:D

i liked hip hop when they talked about daily shit people can relate to, and of course they talked about making money and some cars but it wasn't the root of the lyrics....It was like music of the people.
and dont get me wrong i listen to new shit all day, but if we are talking about lyrics i dont see this new shit (with the exception of some) to be lyrical
Hip hop is still alive, well and truly, put on any stones throw record and try to tell me otherwise.

I'm well aware of what hip hop is and exactly where it comes from...
I never said it died and i only refure to it as "hip hop" because thats what the media calls it for those on this thread who look at it all the same. i DO realize that i was refuring to Hip Hop in the past tense but i didn't mean it in a way to express that it is dead.
I was trying to make a statement about the difference in lyricism from its past to what it is "considered" to be today by most of america. Main point being that people like "lil'b" are being called Hip Hop and to me the point of this thread was to show it isn't.
trust me i need no lesson in Hip hop. My Pandora runs it all days and my itunes cant get enough of it so spare me the lesson.]
