1981 Volvo 245DL wagon Canadian version.
2.1 B21A 4cyl with the pathetic single SU carb setup. It was the manual choke setup as well. It also had the old points and condensor setup in the ignition.
Considering the US market had FI on all Volvo's since the early 70's, there's no reason why the canadian market got the stripped down euro carb'ed version that produced the least hp and tq, yet required premium fuel in the late 70's ?!?!? like WTF is that all about? if your going to make an econo model, why would you design it to run best on prem fuel?!?!
The floorboards rusted thru, and the car would hiccup terribly in traffic when it was cold, regardless of how much fuel you gave it (I'd r3v the $hit outta it, but it didn't help).
To this day I refuse to own another Volvo product.
