Yes it does, thanks plus I thought it would be way worth it to spend the extra money on the paint instead of having stickers peel a few years later.

Car has drum brakes in front and stopping is not so good. Car is big and heavy.Plus I took the 318 out and dropped in a 440(much heavier). I have the disc brake kit for the fronts but cant get the lift clear at work to do the job. It's tough when you restore and collect old cars. ha! ;):D88 M3 Diamantschwarz

Car stays at home.Car is to big and takes up like 3 car spaces at work. I drove it two weeks ago for the first time in ages.People flipped out when you drive it. Ill get it out more often this summer.Car is way too much fun to stay garaged.;):D88 M3 Diamantschwarz

Hate to be the Debbie Downer on an otherwise awesome machine, but the original General Lee had a checkered flag and confederate flag on the panel between the trunk and rear glass... Not often replicated, but worth the extra street cred ;)
And for the record, I'm a little jealous

True but sometimes on the show it's pictured on the car and sometimes it's not.;)Hate to be the Debbie Downer on an otherwise awesome machine, but the original General Lee had a checkered flag and confederate flag on the panel between the trunk and rear glass... Just like the small push bar up front and some times the car is shown with the larger push bar. If you watch the show close enough on some episodes, they show the car using both. lol!Last edited by archie; 02-09-2011, 12:33 PM.88 M3 Diamantschwarz

I was actually just reading the Wiki while I was typing up the last response. It sounds like the flags were only on the first 3 General Lee's and they weren't there afterward... or something along those lines.
I was out in Dallesport, Wa a few years back with my SAE Formula team and there was a group of stuntmen out there practicing driving their cars on two wheels. They also had an original General Lee out there that we got to race against in our car. I guess that a company out there used to be one of the builder's of the cars for the show.

Most of them were built just north of LA. I used to know exactly where too but I hear there are still some parts from original cars there.I was actually just reading the Wiki while I was typing up the last response.
