Just finished the first episode of the new season (Gods of the Arena), fuck yeah! even better then the first season. Wasn't sure how they would continue the story after last season...prequel makes sense.
Looks like they upped the bare titty content, and gore.
God damn Xena is looking sexy too. How old is that actress now? like ~40? Still hot. Yes indeed.

You know they only did the prequel because the main character has cancer right, or else they would've continued on with the story line. Regardless, I caught the first mini ep last night, was pretty good. Im looking forward to the first real episode on friday.

I watched the 1st episode of the 2nd season. It was the first time I ever heard of this serie. So, basically, I was... hmm... surprised, in all possible ways. But all were good.

Back in the days, there were "cheap" series such as McGyver, Stargate or Xena. Production value was pretty basic, the "sex-o-meter" was usually pegged down, and they were "family" shows. Spartacus is quite the opposite. Great production value (for TV) thanks to new technlogies, a constant sex factor that means it's not for kids at all, and a gore factor right up there. It is basically an animated unrated video game.

Never tought that one day I'd see Xena the She Warrior getting humped on a table, or having lesbian sex with another British vixen. Too many vixens not even doubting that a full frontal "bare it all" scenes could be good for their carreer.

If that show is what it takes for teenagers to start learning about Ancient Rome, then be it.

Yeah I had heard that actor has cancer, apparently he's doing well.

But, there still isn't much they could do w/ the series beyond the last episode..don't want to ruin anything, although it should be obvious what happens...but yeah, I'm pretty sure that a gladiator by the name of "Spartacus" did in fact lead a slave uprising, one of many, at some point in Roman history - It didn't end very well for the slaves.

Awesome fight scene, no hint at all of how it would end, the blood, the boob shots... major win.
