DVD Ripping Software

I need to rip some DVD's to use in a school project and need a ripping program. My only condition is that I would like to be able to rip pieces of the DVD like say, from 3:00 in on chapter 5 to 5:00 in on chapter 5 etc... This is not a necessity, but would be a nice feature. Any suggestions?

I ended up finding a program called SmartRipper that is free and did what I wanted.
