Be careful. Its illegal to mess with it without proper certification. You have to take it to the dealer to have it replaced. There is a tamper proof sticker that gets inspected annualy and if its broken, its a hefty fine. Call your local dealer for assistance. Dont listen to these guys.

Questions like this is what shows the downfall of our country.

"Hey guys is it legal for me to fix my seatbelt?" ugh.

I thought it was a legitimate question. Similar to tampering with the airbags. Maybe not "illegal", but you could get in trouble if you get into an accident maybe.
