purchased dvds are copyrighted and the software makers are definitely not making them violate the anti-piracy law. I wanted to rip my P90X videos to put in my phone to work out in the gym and I couldn't with my Toshiba. Tried downloading some softwares from Cnet.com and still the same result. Copyright-protected.

DVD Shrink is software to backup DVD discs. You can use this software in conjunction with DVD burning software of your choice, to make a backup copy of any DVD video disc.

            LOL!

the dvd protection key was leaked YEARS ago.

            anywho, good software:
            • dvdshrink is really good.
            • dvd decrypter was big in the scene a while ago
            • anydvd is also updated often, but costs money
            • handbrake i've heard works well too, but I've never used it

yeah. anydvd works on them all though, they constantly update. I use imgburn to burn now. Same guy who made dvd decrypter makes it, but it doesn't defeat the copyright stuff

                    VLC media player is great

You guys should look into .iso files, and phantom drives.

Nero used to do it. I think Handbrake will too?
