when you look up at buildings it causes them to distort, if you try and keep the shot a little flater it wont distort as muchk, i know you want to compose it where the building is perfectly in the shot but you may need a wider lens to really get a great composition. check out julius shulman

It was foggy, so some of the fireworks were up in the fog its self. I was also playing around with exposure and ISO. I ended up turning the long exposure noise reduction off, that was a double edged sword. Yes, I could shoot more pics quickly, however they had lots of grain to them even though I was shooting no more than ISO 200, but mostly 160 or less. I did futz with the exposure and fill light in lightroom a little on some of the shots. I also adjusted the white balance (that had some interesting results, full color changes of some of the fireworks.)
I shot 160+ pics, I posted at random, so the editing may or may not have been good depending on where they were in the group. Still, in full size you can tell where I turned the noise reduction off. The background lights started doing odd things.
