the sigma is pricey, but you really don't need autofocus for a lens that short. used manual focus lenses on ebay sell for 150 to 200 bucks. a new one in the same place is 239.00. well worth it i would say and it doesn't break the bank. when i was in the market, i searched under: canon fisheye. from there, i selected price from lowest to highest.

when i was in college, i had a sigma 8mm fisheye for my manual focus minolta system. i sold it when i switched over to canon. it was a big mistake to sell that lens. now, 20 years later, i finally have another one.

the difference is that this 8mm is full frame on a crop sensor camera. my old one was circular. if i wanted it to be full frame, i would just attach a 2x converter and shoot through 16mm f7.

this new 8mm, seems a bit more comparable to a 16mm fish but i am still crazy happy with it.

Some Night photos I took of my University. It was balls cold (-7) so I didn't feel like hanging out to long to mess with my exposure rate, or apature.

I really like the first photo, looks black and white and then that blue on top of the tree hits you.
