Yeah, d300 has fine tune. But this doesn't always help if the lens is at fault. With out fine tune it may be harder to tell what the problem is.

Truth. I'm just now (after a few years with a DSLR) finding myself knowing when and how to shoot manual. I remember being SO confused by aperture and shutter speed for the longest time.

Awesome man. Excuse to upgrade and you get to keep your old stuff. :)

I love this thread. So many good pictures! You won't be dissappointed with a 5dmk2, i love my long time! I used to have a 400d (rebel xti on your side of the pond?) and it felt like a toy compared to the 5dmk2!

One from one of my recent shoots:

it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to shoot the nsx i think!

316i lux - m52b28 powered, lsd, black leather recaros (not sport seats), black leather m3 rear bench, black parcel shelf + blind, 16" hartges and loads of other shizzle. I don't have many recent pics though. I need to get out and get some decent rig shots of it tbh. I got a 10 stop b+w filter yesterday though :D

Cheers :D When i was looking for another e30 to 24v i specifically didn't want a red one. But this one came along and its got very little rust. I really wanted a black or calypso red one :(

Nope, brilliant red. White balance is a mile out in the last pic so it looks like henna / zinnobar

                                I love bright moon shots!

Matt - Commented on your flickr, but damn!

And to keep it on topic shot a friend this morning for some graduation shots, I never brought up money beforehand as it was a last minute thing and I needed a good reason to get up early (but she still gave me some which is always nice), was just using my cheap $75 craigslist special (28-80G) that stays on my D700 most of the time until I can afford what I really want but it's results can be alright after some post work.

Here's one I liked, others may make it to the flickr later, not sure.

Yeah, that's (mostly) fake bokeh, so sue me.
