the cummins will still roll coal and make retarded power as long as you can throw air and fuel to them. all mechanical. if you've ever ridden in a done up 12v...you'll never look back.

Get a mid 90's Chev/GMC 1500. It will do everything you ever need

You don't need a cummins to haul skis.

The local selection for diesels isn't very promising. They're usually $7k up for diesels, and the gassers are around $800-$5k. Which models were 2WD and which were 4WD?

what farbin said <<< 03 and earlier for diesels, they are pretty much flawless. gassers will drink your wallet dry. Ive owned several gassers in my years, once you go diesel you'll never look back. get ya a 2500 4x4 quad cab and it will be the last truck you buy. of course thats just my opinion.

If you get an oil burner, get an older one. If you go gas, get the bigger 8.

judging by how the gas models are cheaper, i'm thinking i'll go with that.
it'll be a truck to take up to the mountains, since our family has a place up in tahoe.
we've always gotten by with our volvos, but i've been looking at the benefits of owning a truck, and have become quite interested.
currently looking at the 1500 extended cabs..

rust.... Check the frame, bottom of the doors and so on... Make sure the overdrive works, cause people like to tow with them in overdrive and burn it up. Other then that, i cant think of anything else.
