Maybe it's too easy to get a drivers license, assuming he had one.

I saw one of the videos on TruTV where an 80 something y/o woman drove the wrong way up an interstate. She said to the cop that she had to go because she was late for a app.

i think at a certain age you should have to retest and under a different set of prerequisites than younger people.
my grandfather did shit like this. he would miss an exit and back up on the freeway to get the exit he wanted.

                According to KFSN, Fresno:

Traffic on I-5 was closed for about two hours. Remarkably no one was seriously hurt.

The 83-year-old driver was cited for driving the wrong way and driving with a suspended license.

Investigators said he appeared to have been confused and couldn't explain how he ended up driving against traffic.

In BC new drivers have to take a road test, after passing they put a green magnetic "N" thing on the back of their car so other drivers can identify them as such.

I think seniors should sport an "S" on the back of their car. Along w/ taking a driving test.

This totally reminds me of that south park episode, Grey Dawn. Hopefully the AARP doesnt start killing us.

My parents had the same thing happen to them when driving south on 1-15. My dad was driving on the freeway calling 911 and going ahead flashing the other drivers, but nothing worked in time... The old man driving the minivan hit head on @ 80mph and killed several people...

Old people should be tested every year after age 65 or so...

He was in the fast lane. How did he manage to go up on off-ramp the wrong way, cross multiple lanes to reach the fast lane..without hitting anyone? We should just install those spike strip things on off-ramps. Drive the wrong way, bye bye tires. You wont make it to the freeway to kill people.

                            This is a great idea.

As far as seniors driving goes, they will never have to be retested unless everybody else does too. The AARP is too damn strong.

I'd be fine retaking a driving test every few years or so if it meant the ones who forgot how to drive the right way wont pass.
