    i feel like it's impossible to find a decent e30 6cyl 2door 5 speed for a good deal

ive been looking for a couple months and whenever i find a deal it's either auto, four door, or has an m10! -_- i'm on the verge of giving in for a 4cyl.... but i don't want to.

i'm so afraid of the m10 not feeling like enough power.
take into consideration my last car was a w123123 mercedes..... diesel with 80hp! im terrified of slow cars now. haha.

Just be patient, these cars aren't civics. It might take a while before a good one comes around. I had to buy a car out of necessity, and guess what it was? M10 car. Luckily Cali is much more E30 populated than where I live.

That's the only aspect that keeps my faith with my car.

                What's your budget?
Buy an m42 car: they really aren't that bad.

I'd rather have a clean M10 for cheap than have to wait around for a clean M20 for more expensive. It just depends what pops up. I know I'm going to do a motor swap eventually, but doesn't really bother me all that much.

i'm working with barely about 2k.
1100 from insurance of previous car.
and i think my parents would help pay about roughly 900 at most....
                      quite sad i know haha.

Even that's more a pain in the ass unless you are dead set on an M30. Then you have to deal with the early C101, and if you want a newer engine, good luck with having a working CEL.

have you heard the phrase "there is nothing so expensive as a cheap BMW"?

Lemme guess, you expect it to look good too, huh?

You are either gonna find a $500 E30 and spend $4500 making it decent or $5K on a nice car.

If you had the skills to make a nice car for $800, you would have done it already, right?

Not trying to be mean here, bub, just telling you some truth.

If you are broke, lack skills/tools/workspace and need cheap, reliable transportation, choose something other than an E30.

                          Closing SOON!

i know where your coming from...
its just that i've seen it done for 1k.
sitting car for 500, put clutch fluid in reserve pump it back up starts fine, give it a wash, paints fine.
a little tuning up and youve got a good car, clean too, stock.
my friend has boughten 2 for under 1k and they were of that sort...
maybe im just too impatient to find the right one for cheap. or maybe i should work some more and make a little more money to put into this.
