i feel like it's impossible to find a decent e30 6cyl 2door 5 speed for a good deal

the guy described the missing component as a component that removes air bubbles from the coolant system and without it it overheats after a while of driving, he said it would probably be a 500$ fix. any advice on this anyone? its really confusing. haha. he wants me to check out the car on monday.

how many miles and whats been wrong with it in the past or present.

you can PM me of you are serious, but it has 210k, its 5-speed (all 1991 318is's are), only things wrong w/ it currently is that it needs a t-stat and the PS rack is leaking, so i disabled the power steering, which is an upgrade imho.

all stock factory sport seats, crack FREE dash.

Only interior issue is the vinyl is cracking on the left butt bolster on driver's seat, see pic. Carpet needs a good scrubbing too.


Oh, and an M42 is waaaay cooler than an M20.

It sounds like he made something up. He probably bled the coolant system a shit load of times, but he's still getting air bubbles, indicating a head gasket failure. Check it out. Replacing a head gasket will give a head start in the E30 game. You'll know basically all about your motor.

I even got a turbo setup, war chip, lowered..

New head gasket , water pump, timming belt, thermostate, dissy cap and rotor, clutch fan delete, 14" elc fan
Flipped oil filter housing, relocated oilcooler
New front lower arms/bushings, rear wheel bearings, shocks, struts
Rebuilt calipers in all four corners
Eibach cup springs I picked up from CactusJack
Drophats
Volvo Lip...
Just put in a Analog clock
all elc works, just rebuilt cluster
Just paid the tags and smogged

(I also have a Miller war chip and Maf, 524td turbo manifold, Volvo intercooler mounted "to go boost" (hidden) and adaptor kit avalible.)

PO was hit (and Fixed) and the car has a salvage title.
Car run strong and drives well..

I love this car, but I really want to build a Boosted
car and would rather not have to worry about smog...
