I liked Restrepo a ton, and it was about my favorite Army unit, the 173rd.

watched Exit Through the Gift Shop about a month ago.

I thought that guy was a douche too..

        Collapse sounds kinda depressing (?)

Are the extreme snow sports ones any fun to watch?

I guess Exit Through the Gift Shop is up for an Oscar. Pretty good flick IMO. Oh, and you can watch on Hulu right now.

Ruppert, for those that don't know, is also the guy that used to publish the "fromthewilderness" newsletter/web site. Guy is chock full of interesting conspiracy theories and such. I haven't watched this yet, but will. I used to read this guy all the time.

Last night we watched the "Vice Guide to Travel: Liberia" talk about abject poverty, just absolutely horrible conditions.

Although the history of the freed slaves going to LIberia, establishing a country and basically turning all the indigenous peoples into near slaves is mind-blowing.

It's too bad the "Vice" guys didn't get a chance to do more stuff.

it's not a documentary. it's shot in documentary style, but fiction. A good watch, however.

Morning Light. simply epic and really moving. I never thought that sailing was all that interesting until I saw this film.

Pursuit of Function was interesting, just to see the JDM craze and how it all began. Put into perspective how owning a honda can be more than just owning a car. The entire film is on youtube.
