No, but looking at it as a piece of art, you can see the juxtaposition of the beginings and the end result of selling out, and it all felt more of a real spoof than the attempt Ben Afflek's brother and Joaquin Pheonix's "I'm Still Here" ever could have.

Regardless of real or faux, there was a lot of "aged" or Archive footage used, so, I guess you never know.

It's a documentary about Robert F. MacNarmara, who went from being the president for Ford Motor Company, to the secretary of defense during the Cuban missile crisis and Vietnam. It's pretty incredible some of the shit that he reveals.
Came here to post this, it's very good.
      Also check out Cocaine Cowboys.

I didn't like Exit Through the Gift Shop.

I thought the guy was a doucher. Seemed more interested in becoming an artist and learning their tricks than actually making a film about them. Seems like the only reason he even ended up making the film was because he couldn't get anywhere with street art.

The point of the film was probably lost on me, but that's kind of what I got out of it.

Also, pretty much anything on N. Korea is good. Those fuckers are off their damn rockers.

you guys have to see the national geographic: inside north korea. this doctor goes into to NK to complete 1000 eye surgeries in 24 hrs (the only way to get a camera in the country was to document the surgeries) and it is amazing how fucked up that country is. Everyone is brain washed. No one owns a cell phone, many dont have power, its crazy.

And on top of that, those who had the surgeries got their bandages removed as the doctor stood next to them. Not a single person thanked the doctor. Instead they ran up to the picture of their dictator (picture was of the dictator as he looked 20 years ago) and thanked him, and promised him that since now they could see, they would buy a gun, travel to the US and kill every american they could. Some F**ked up S*it right there. Im sure the camera man was a little scared.

Blood into Wine. Its about the lead singer of Tool and his vineyard/winery. I only watched it because my cousin was on the production crew, but I actually enjoyed it. I still hate Tool though.

Also, the Vice Guide to Travel episode where they visit North Korea is pretty cool.

                Great thread!

I'll recommend It Might Get Loud. It's a documentary with Jimmy Page, Jack White and The Edge talking about everything related to the electric guitar. Obviously, you've got to watch this on something with a good sound system.

Here's the opening scene where Jack builds a diddly bow.

NOVA usually delivers. there was one recently about the intelligence/communication of different animals. Neil Tyson's commentary at the end exploded my brain a little bit.

Most nature shows are really good. I was watching Wild Pacific last night. It's commented by Mike Rowe and the episode I was watching was about the evolutionary quarks of different isolated habitats around the pacific.

I like Stephen Hawking's stuff too, with his limited communication, he does a good job of dumbing stuff down.

I think I saw the N. Korea one, had Lucy Liu or whoever with them?
