Tickets your E30 has gotten you into

I had a similar issue except I was speeding. Went to court and told the judge I do not own or drive a 4 door vehical and the car I was driving is out side. Due to the fact that I could not have possably been driving a 4 door 318is with tag number BLAH gave grounds to drop the ticket.

But the license plate on the ticket matched your real plate I assume..correct?

I was whipping down a two lane highway trying to catch up to some friends. Picture me in the left lane doing about 80mph towards someone else in my lane doing 50mph, got about 2 feet from their bumper and swung to the right lane to just clear the car to my right and make a swift pass.. I made it quickly back to the left lane in front of the 2005(ish) Chevy Impala (with suspiciously dark tint) and I saw tiny little flashing blue lights coming from the front grill of the Impala. I pulled over into a gas station parking lot (with people pumping gas mind you)nice and easy and got my Licence/Reg. ready.. Officer came to the window and didn't even let me say one word.
"WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DRIVING LIKE THAT? I COULD HAVE ANOTHER STATE TROOPER HERE IN A SECOND TO GIVE YOU A HEFTY FUCKING FINE. STOP DRIVING LIKE A FUCKING ASSHOLE, AND GO HOME.. NOW!"
I replied "Yes Sir" and continued my friday night.

After the Undercover got back into his car and sped away, a stranger pumping gas yelled over to me and said "What an asshole that guy was huh?"
I Lol'ed and replied "Nehh, nice guy!"



Man was it nice to have a lowered e30 for the first weekend EVAR. :up:

Unrelated to BMWs but related to your story, we were in Springfield for bike night and this kid in the group decides to pop a wheelie and there is a light with a trooper, adjacent but its dark downtown so you can't really see what's on the side streets. The trooper fucking goes down the wrong direction on a median divided street and comes up behind us like we just killed and rape a group of woman related to him. Meanwhile as he is going the wrong way cars are screeching and swerving not to him him. (No wonder Mass staties have the worse driving record of any public servant in any state.)

Ok so they get out and since one punk ass did it he has all 7 of us turn off our bikes and walk them into the gas station parking lot. There is two because in Springfield they are two to a car if they are patrolling downtown. He takes all our licenses and my permit. Im thinking, "O my dad is going to hate to have to come and pick me up and I don't want to pay for a tow fee."

As soon as I am done with that thought, 2 cars are chasing each other almost like a movie - I swear I heard gun fire. The two troopers look at each other and throw all our stuff out of their car on the ground to go after them. They yell, "Stop fucking around," then turn to me and say, "you go fucking home you only have a permit."

Dude I was so relieve but I still think mass troopers are a bunch of faggets who suck each others dick while they ride around looking to pull me over for a burned out marker light. That's merits their 150k base pay.

Today I finally was able to drive my E30 after a 2 month hiatus due to shitty compression and other things. Swapped out the head and bled the coolant today finally. Drove AROUND my block, as in, probably less than 70 yards total, and I got pulled over for having an expired rejected inspection sticker. I explained to the officer I'm merely driving my car for the first time in a while (showing him my dirty ass hands and my interior full of tools) but no mercy. I also got a ticket for blinker not working..it stopped working after I gave my car a wash and I didn't even know. Garrghhhhhhhh.

That's not even the worst part. The worst part is that on the ticket it says 88 BMW 4 door Silver. I own a 2 door bronzit. :(

Absolutely go to your court date. All you have to say is that you do not, or have never owned/registered a 4 door Silver 88 BMW. Basically, its like the cop saying the DNA evidence of a murder is your DNA, but its not.

I couldn't tell you 100% if they could give you a ticket or not if they were undercover. I can say though that the incident I had was one out of 3 with undercover/unmarked troopers, and I never got anything more than a verbal warning (speeding, the e30 incident, and tailgating an undercover Ford Explorer LOL). All seemingly off-duty wearing pedestrian clothes. One Undercover actually went so far as to call my dad on his cell phone while in his Unmarked Escape behind me. He pretty much told me to GTFO also, that was fun. :bow:

I think you're right. Mine is pull me over red and not quite at all, but I have never been pulled over in my car for speeding...knocks on wood.

I did however, get pulled over for making a "wide right hand turn" and in turn...proceeded to get arrested because I had a warrant out for a failure to appear in court. Best part was, court letter was sent to an incorrect address, at an apartment I hadn't lived in in over a year.

Cop however did compliment me on how cool he thought my car was. That actually did make the day a little bit better.

I stopped counting how many times I'd been pulled over and ticketed at 36. The last time I got pulled over (or the one before?) was for 99 in a 60 while in the car pool lane with no passenger. Until that ticket, not one stuck. Always go to court. Always.
