Yep, he looks like an accountant to me. I really like his views. For an on the spot interview (okay at a car show) he seems ready to discuss anything, a passionate person.

i like chris bangle's designs. there, i said it. and now apparently i like the guy himself.

i couldn't imagine where BMW would be if he didnt radically change their design language. oh right, right where they seem to be heading, as they were in the 80's and 90's; 'same sausage, different lengths'

we can't be stuck in the 'classic' design. otherwise its not classic, its played out.

            truth.

he took bmw in a different direction. and he forever altered the course of all automotive design because of it.

i may think the latest m6 is fat and ugly. but i do think the latest m3 is drop dead gorgeous.

Yay Chris Bangle! He led BMW design into the new century and got a huge jump on their German competition from an aesthetic standpoint. Audis and Benzes looked relatively outdated for several years while they caught up. BMW took some chances on their designs with Bangle cars. Some worked and some didn't but we as fans of BMW don't need to worry about BMW looks as much as other things...With manual transmissions slowly being phased out and rumors of FWD BMW's coming in the next few years I'm worried that they are aiming to become the next Toyota.

I liked Bangle's BMWs also. The look was dramatically different and I think thats what BMW needed at the time. The new cars are cool but they're all the same with a look that doesnt even look that great. Im sure they're fantastic but come on.

The last 5 minutes of that had me really impressed, even inspired.
