They just called me this morning: "We regret what we did and want you back".... What should I do? I could continue so that other companies acknowledge my experience.. If I tell them I worked for a month I don't think they'll think much of it. I want to join the army reserve soon so if unicom gets in the way I'm not going to be staying. The job is getting easier anyway since summer is coming :P.. I don't plan on working for them next winter, such a pain haha.. I have big plans for the future and I think the army can teach me determination and perseverance. Being an airforce pilot is one of my dreamsComment

Guess no more mods for awhile #2, coming back from a friends house I decided to go visit my old school, leaving the parking lot at 5kph big asphalt wave = dead oil pan and no more oil... next two minutes two people leave and both of them hit the bottom of their cars. One honda hit REALLY hard but I guess he has a plate?
Balleristic31, I am going back and thus not stupid :)
I think the oil pan is just pierced, I'll take it off and see, since it's aluminum, if we can solder it back shut. good idea?Comment

Just found this thread again and saw your post and laughed xD because as you knew i went back to unicom but I started working with a guy my age and were just Ripping threw work.
Reason why im saying this is we thought we were good at 20 drops per day well now were doing 30 with variant job types so we are making around 1000-1500 a week each and we finish towards 2-3 most of the time... this is a great first job/entry into the work world :D
Made 1563.43 last week with 550$ on wednesday (best week yet!!) And summer is coming! Cant wait!
Anyway sorry for bringing this thread back :(...:)

Answers about what I do!
That's right, no education is required which was nice for saving up for a higher education :P. In the quickest possible explanation I change the cables from the electrical pole to the industrial and/or residential building/house. That pretty much sums it up.
However; more info:
Wiring inside the actual buildings is usually already done so procedure typically ends at plugging the end wire or cable to the outside connection of the building, I do not go inside houses though I do go inside industrial buildings if needed because they have junction boxes inside (in the electric room). We have a list of "codes" with prices for everything we do, for example going inside requires extra work and passing the cable through an underground conduct so the code for that gives us each 5$ and if we install a case to contain the wires many codes can be used for: the ground, the es8-12 or 16 (ie: 16 number of "outs"), the actual case ect.
So basic wiring with RG-11 cable gives 20$ + 10$ for going inside + 20$ for the case and included hardware... All this takes 30 mins max so 50$ divided by two people is 25 in 30 minutes which is 50$/hour.. It adds up fast because one post can feed up to 8 houses and/or buildings and even more sometimes.
In normal drop work we don't often go inside though so it's 16.50 per RG-6 wire (smaller than RG-11) and is real simple so it's not uncommon to wire a house onto the network in 5 minutes. with transport we'll round it up to 8 mins per drop (being generous) which gives us 7.5 d/h = 61.875$/hour each.
Sorry for all the extra details and info I get carried away sometimes :D.
I hope I answered your question! Have a good day :P

e30Bmart; congrats on being so productive and successful at such an early age. You hardly see that nowadays, since most teenagers just expect a handout from their parents.
Keep on truckin' dude @IRON-E30 aka Edwin:DComment
