        Im running a Intel E8400, 4gb of DDR2 1000mghz Mushkin ram, and a WD 1tb black HDD

        And its plenty fast. I dont run autoupdates though

                                Most people were running it on wal-mart shitboxes, it didn't have as much optimization to run on shitty computers.
                                Im now E30less.

                                    Dude vista is a resource pig. The entire os was half assed and didn't get any real support. Upgrade to 7 and you will instantly see the difference. Programs and everything will run smoother, and multi tasking even if you use a single core becomes way nicer.

                                                    Went from xp to 64 bit 7.

                                                    It sucked, now running 32 bit xp for gaming and ubuntu for everyday use.
