I love my job and I love the job environment more. I work with close friends. We are all our own boss, no employees to manage. We work our own hours whenever we want. I walk to work. I'm a structural engineer specializing in designs of high end custom homes.

that is simply amazing. Thats like the cliche (in the best of ways possible) of the kind of deck you would want to spend your child hood on.

Work for a boat dealer, its in my blood. Ive fished since I was a kid, salt and fresh. Bought my first boat when I was 22 and over the next couple of years got addicted to offshore fishing. I was so into that I quit my job of 8 years to become a "porter" at a dealer 15 years ago. I worked my way quickly in the shop turning wrenches and now I manage the parts and ship store. Very laid back, always meeting new people, boat shows, demos days at the lake, demos to use, boat parts for me at cost, ect ect. Sit on my ass and lurk r3v all day, hahaha !!

It is over 150' long, the guy is from Texas and wanted the biggest deck at the lake. We connected his two docks and made a MASSIVE l________l that is about how it looks. There is also a gazebo that we installed in the center to house food for parties. It also has a built in BBQ pit that I made. It was a BLAST on the 4th. He is a long time customer, so we get invited to everything =)

This does not include the stairs we built from the main land down to the house by the lake. Over 15k in stairs ALONE.

Mostly, laid back (I love that get to wear jeans/polo/sneakers to work everyday), cool people.

The work itself is incredibly tedious.

Yes I build and wire the signals, crossings, and houses for trains. I'm currently on a double project that's building another track and wiring in the government mandated positive train control system. Train operators and conductors make pretty good money but it can be a stressful job.

                I love my jobs.

Detailer at www.ferdinand-motor.no which is just plain awesomeness, mail delivery which is good as long as it doesn't snow or rain, and a chauffeur at a local hotel.

I absolutely loved being a mechanic and was very depressed when a back injury forced a career change 3 years ago, and I still tinker at home as much as I can.

Last fall at a patient picnic, while talking to the daughter of one of our patients, she told me "Had it not been for my father's liver transplant my daughter would have never known her grandfather." I realized at that moment, as boring as it seems at times, I love my new job too.

I love it most of the time.

I do machine validation, currently, for Caterpillar Motorgraders (power, performance, etc testing). Get to be outside and get muddy a lot. It's pretty damn awesome.

Eventually, I'll be back in Decatur working for the product group on New Product Introduction - so the last group that develops/designs machines before reach production.

I am a K-12 music teacher. I am just about to finish up my 5th year and LOVE it. Teaching kids to play and enjoy music along with everything else that goes along with being a teacher. Pretty wild to know that 20 years from now these kids will look back as adults and remember their band/music teacher was me. Not to mention summers off...

I also teach drivers ed in the summer and work on cars here and there. can't complain one bit

all the band/music teachers I had in school. Were confirmed or highly suspected of being homo, oh and I grew up in MI (south central part of the state), the confirmed ones were fired with the quickness, so if you are tell no one.

You are not homo are you ???? :) sorry just have to ask
