The press seems to have a "word of the week" - they all try and weave it into their dialogue. I end up hating these words. Some examples are:

Keep an ear out. You'll notice the press' word de jour.

Another thing that bugs to no end is that many of the local news reporters have speech impediments. How does one who can't communicate clearly become a broadcaster? It's insane.
