I went to my local community college for two years. Got my general eds and left with a 3.7 while working and now I go to uconn as an Allied Health Sciences major. Transferring in with 68 credits (some from Advanced Placement "college credit" high school classes) I saved myself two years of tuition. Was I given a package based on my good grades and hard work? No, because I am a dependent that lives with my family and they make too much for me to qualify for anything through FAFSA but student loans. Do my parents help out? Yes, they paid for my community college because it was $3k a year and even then I told them they were doing too much since I have two younger sisters who will get the same deal.

So what am I doing? I've gotten a few grand in scholarships that I used for books and gas (I drive 30 miles there and back every day for classes, thankfully my parents won't kick me out and it outweights my friends who pay shitloads to live at uconn or monthly off campus housing) and when I'm done with my bachelor's I'm going to get a Master's in Physician Assistant studies.

Why? Because a $85k job out the gates at 25 is going to pay my potential 90-110K in student loans with my undergrad and medschool off pretty damn quick and keep my dreams for a E30 M3 and a family I can support and put upon them the kindness of helping them out somehow in their education like your piece of shit father can't. I feel for you man. Just work a crap part time job that you don't mind and study your ass off. I manage to keep a 3.5 GPA at uconn while working, going to bars/parties, and lazing around R3V and napping. But like said, don't do drugs, I am 21 and many my friends smoke pot/have offered but I've kept away from it since people started at 15 until now.

Stay loose man, its a long 4 years (and for me, 7) because its a battle that will keep putting you down unless you stick to your guns and put in the weeks on end to get what you want in the future because at times it'll feel easier to just say "fuck it" and smoke pot and masturbate goddamn day long.

Good for you. My fiancee is PA in CT Surgery. Just a heads up, if you go surgery, $85K is way less than most starting salaries. Most Neuro PAs start at 6 digits. Some hospital systems will even pay off your loans for a contract agreement.

-Follow the advice of those who have been there as it has been stated numerous times in this thread. If you hadn't already applied for college or loans after your junior year then you have already shown that you are not motivated to do it. The fact that you were kicked out (regardless of reason) is a testament to the fact that you may have been focused elsewhere and not showing some form of drive. You have to be motivated and the fact that you decided to post on a car forum for advice rather than immediately start working on other options adds fuel to the fire.

-If you spend your time whining on the internet about how life isn't fair you will fail. If you write half as bad as you have typed here, you will fail. If you expect someone to do it for you, you will fail. See a trend here?

Dude seriously, the problem is you didn't plan for the worst. You not applying for Fafsa or any other scholarships/grants until now is pretty fucking stupid. I'm not the best student but I did decent. Have someone cosign a loan for you, if you get a good job, you can easily pay it off after school. Another plus, you build your credit.
