The road dips by the look of the picture.

Bingo! Yeah it is really hard to see by the pic, but the grass dipped down by about a foot where the color changes. You had to hit it just right to get that much air. I think I eventually messed up the steering and my Dad had to bend it back. (I was like 11 at the time). The crazy thing is that it wasn't even our go-cart. My Dad's co-worker lent it to us for the summer that year. We also burnt out the slipper clutch it had and had to replace that as well haha. But otherwise we took good care of it.

That brings back memories. No roll hoops for us back in the 80's though. I'm still great friends with a guy that used to ride motorcycles and go karts around the neighborhood with.
