Got my faceplate stolen tonight...

Well... I feel dumb. Got a message on voicemail when I got home from school today. It was from the detective. I guess one of the kids' moms talked to the kid about it. And the kid says that he TRIED to steal it, but it fell in the car and he didnt keep it. So, as I'm cleanin my intake manifold my mom comes out tellin me this and just starts gettin in my car on the driver side and I'm like, "why are you gettin in my car?" and she tells me about the phone call. I open the passenger side door and look straight down between the seat and the door sill. Faceplate was upside down RIGHT there... I had a friend ride in that seat for 30 minutes just YESTERDAY and she didnt see it. Now I feel completely retarded. I get a lecture from my parents about it and I called the detective and left a msg saying we found it. I'm just thankful I have it back and I can listen to music again! yay! Lesson learned I guess. btw... My bro lives in San Francisco too ;) So he knows about the locking thing.

Whatever, he tried to steal it, just because he's an idiot and didn't succeed doesn't make it your fault. If some punk kids "stole" my faceplate, I wouldn't be searching the car for it - I'd assume the punks had it. Don't be hard on yourself - you had no way of knowing.

Well... if you didnt know, I am only 18. I still live with "Mommy and Daddy" lol. They both gave me a lecture on how I should have looked EVERYWHERE in the car for it. I looked on the driver side all over, but didnt bother on the passenger side. I mean... its gone... I didnt take it off the radio... punk kids had it. Meh... lesson learned I guess. Cool to have music back though. ESPECIALLY since I drive about an hour to AND from school every day!

Naw, it fell I bet. I wasnt even around for the next few days except at home. I got school Monday - Thursday 2:15-10:15. I wake up around 11:30, leave 12:30, eat on the way, and dont get home until 11:20 at the earliest. So... I bet they just dropped it. yep. Picked it up last Saturday for $80. :) All I need to swap over is my sender which I believe is just the 2 bolts out...and 2 bolts in. DONE. Then fill er up with some gear oil...and put her in. I might take it to school and put it on a lift to change it out though ;)
