Got my faceplate stolen tonight...

Well...tonight met 2 friends at mcD's around 10:30pm. Pulled in and parked right by the doors. 2 guys were standing there smoking and one was wearing a mcD's uniform. Go inside and get a burger and drink. Eat and come back outside and get in to leave. Faceplate is gone. I went back inside to talk to the manager about it but I figured they couldnt do anything. I know a girl who works there so she asks me whats goin on. She says, "I know who did it". So she tells the manager and they call the police for me. Cop comes and gets the serial number off my radio (I pulled it out in less than 2 minutes lol) He talked to my friend who knew who did it. Cops got their addresses and work schedules. Both the kids who stole it work at mcD's and ride mopeds. What a coincidence... lol. Funny thing, I had a WHOLE booklet of cd's right behind the driver seat and they didnt take those. Fuckin jackasses. Ideas? Think I'll get the faceplate back? Just a faceplate new costs $160. Or ebay-ed for around $40 right now with 3 days left.

I met my friends there to take back a movie to em. Originally I was only gonna be inside for a couple minutes to give my friends the movie so I left the windows down and sunroof open. BUT, I decided to grab a burger and a drink cus i was hungry...and thirsty. we were in there for 15 minutes MAX. And these kids that stole it were fuckin stupid. They cant do anything with just the face. They didnt take the cd's. They didnt even take the $2 in change in the center console... lol.

I believe the one on Ebay is actually a new faceplate. You can get JUST faceplates new actually. My dad found it although I was too pissed to actually care how he found it haha. But... They are just bein jackasses. Before the cops got there, a kid (They asked him how to steal a radio) came up and talked to me about it and said they are just bein jackasses and they ride mopeds. So now I know where they work and what they "roll" .... so I'll fuck with em sometime prolly.

Detective left me a message today. He is gonna interview the 2 "suspects" when they work next. Which to me... sounds retarded. But... what can I do I guess. My dad bid on the one on ebay, so hopefully we get it for $50 shipped. Shit happens. Now I am gonna end up lockin the car ALLLLL the time. Live and learn I guess :)

Well... I feel dumb. Got a message on voicemail when I got home from school today. It was from the detective. I guess one of the kids' moms talked to the kid about it. And the kid says that he TRIED to steal it, but it fell in the car and he didnt keep it. So, as I'm cleanin my intake manifold my mom comes out tellin me this and just starts gettin in my car on the driver side and I'm like, "why are you gettin in my car?" and she tells me about the phone call. I open the passenger side door and look straight down between the seat and the door sill. Faceplate was upside down RIGHT there... I had a friend ride in that seat for 30 minutes just YESTERDAY and she didnt see it. Now I feel completely retarded. I get a lecture from my parents about it and I called the detective and left a msg saying we found it. I'm just thankful I have it back and I can listen to music again! yay! Lesson learned I guess. btw... My bro lives in San Francisco too ;) So he knows about the locking thing.
