Sorry to hear about all that.

I don't necessarily have a family, I have never had a dad, and my 2 aunts were always starting shit with my mom or each other. Mother's day 3 years ago my aunt called me out on personal things in front of my "family" and I told her to stop 3 times, she kept going and my anger kicked in and i yelled "SHUT UP". 10 minutes later I have an aunt who carries a .45 on her hip pushing me into walls threatening to kill me. Ever since then, Christmas, birthdays, thanksgiving, any holiday at all, is just me and my mom. We aren't allowed at any family gathering because of said aunt, she basically runs my grandmother, she's the youngest of the 3 so she can do whatever she wants. As cold hearted as it sounds, I'd piss on her face at her funeral if I even went. My grandfather who kept EVERYTHING civil in the family and would crack someone upside the head for starting any arguments passed away back in 2005, ever since then all my grandmothers house is, is a feeding frenzy. Said gun toting aunt took both quads valued over $12,000 dollars, took over the vacation trailer (huge trailer on a shit load of land 4 hours away in the boonies on a mountain) which is easily worth $250,000. My grandfather built a huge 2 car garage (could fit 6 cars in it) and made a wood working section on the one side with a lot of machines. Most of those machines gone and at said aunt's house. The only time me and my mom are invited up to my grandmothers house, is if she needs work done. It's rather shitty not having a family, but I have my mom, the only person who was ever there from the time I was born. Even having only her, it's all you really need.
