    ACL Knee injury

    Story:
    April 25th, Sydney, Australia.
I was visiting Sydney for the weekend from Brisbane to party and see Disturbed consert with friends.
After the local support band, As I Lay Dying come on stage and start their set, I was looking forward to them even more than disturbed (i love aild) so they start playing, I get straight in the pit and start getting my spastic on. 5 seconds into the first son BAM my leg blows out after I come off it at a queer angle.

So a couple of weeks ago. still limping and in death pain. And after Escape The Fate gig, A Day to Remember, and Parkway Drive... :nice: I think FINE ill go to the doctors.

    Results:
High Grade tear of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament.
Contusions on the weight bearing surface of the 'Lateral femoral Condyle' (apparently bone bruises w/e)
Moderate sized joint effusion (fluid buildup)

    Pics!
That < shape shouldnt be there. Hanging by a thread

                  Best wishes on your surgery.

I blew mine out playing football...

                  aftermath of my surgery...

After 4 years, I'm about 90% back to normal. Still playing basketball, soccer, dropping kicking people at bars, fist pumpin' at clubs.

                    ^ouch..
I'm also without health insurance so i guess I'll see what happens after I see the specialist. Hoping they'll see me as a strapping young lad and move me up in front of old ladies who dont need their knees anyway. (im going to hell)
Sucks to be restricted though. Not used to actual real injuries.

Knee injuries suck. good news is that acl is easily repairable and can often be made stronger than before it was torn. I however have an MCL tear which is much harder to fix.
