Don't smoke, dry socket is a bitch. You'll be feelin good off those percs though, be careful- you'll want more when your script is done haha.

Dry sockets is a MF'er. Hope they gave you something to keep the holes in your jaw cleaned out. You won't have them until the stiches come out. That is, if your teeth were recessed or not.

Had all 4 of mine removed, at the same time i had reconstructive jaw surgery and some more shit. Needless to say, my mom didnt mind when she saw the pain I was in having her pack a bowl for me and rip it via my nose cuz the pain meds werent good enough after a month and i couldnt open my mouth or eat anything or smoke anything.

I have to get mine removed soon. My dentist said I have the largest wisdom teeth they've ever seen so I hope it doesnt suck too bad.

have 1 wisdom left in my face. I have been getting them pulled as the cause issues.

Last 2 I had yanked they knocked me out for (I hate the dentist). They only really hurt for a couple of hours after I came to. Still have about 1/2 the bottle of Vicodin they gave me, I use those for really bad headaches

I didn't swell, didn't use pain meds after operation day, and the dentist didn't knock me out. My other friend had that happen to him in High School and he walked around school with a football helmet for two days. Interesting............................

Yeah its interesting how different people respond. I'm usually a fast healer so we'll see how it goes. The operation took more than 2 hours and its the bone graft drama that seems the worst, the left side of my face is easily 2-3 times bigger than the right side. I was a little freaked out cause my whole chin and lower lip was dead numb until the middle of the night last night, its just about got full feeling now. Had some crazy/awesome car dreams, ideas, etc last night, though.
