I had all four of mine taken out when I was in the Air Force. It was not fun. Crazy thing...my son was born a few days later. I have pics of me holding him...while I looked like a chipmunk.

If they arent causing a problem, leave them in. Mine were actually doing fine but needed to be removed to access jaw bone to be cut out and used for a bone graft . Dentists like to remove them because they are difficult to clean and so are prone to damage. I opted to get all mine out for weight savings.

Why does everyone get them pulled, growth pain?
Mine have been growing for like two years and all are almost all the way grown. I had very slight pain when they grew, like a small throb. So I don't plan on having those damn machines in my mouth any time soon.
