Not sure if really relevant...dont really care but im currently at the ATL GA airport gettin drunk for my three hour layover wait to go back to dc.
Out of all the airports I've been in, Hartsfield Jackson is by far the best.. Anything you want to eat, drink or stare at is there. Kudos for starting at 10am at the bar!
Dillsnick speaks the truth. Just spent the last 25 minutes or so talking to a bartender about fake tits, strip clubs, and milfs. Im going to walk to the other end of the terminal and sample some beer there. I have noticed a very real abundance of milfs in this airport...its gonna be a long two hours...
Pretty much Decatur down town is a good place to get a little buzzed. The Brickstore, Leon's, Taqueria Del Sol, etc. Lot of good bars/restaurants to hang at, not touristy though. I live by Emory though so that is a stone's throw to me.
Already mentioned, aquarium, CNN, etc if you want to see the sights.
Watch the Georgia sub-forum on BFC this next week. We're pretty active over there and schedule weekly dinner meets, etc. If it's going on next week, it'll be posted there.
Well my coworker and I have separate rooms so what you guys do over there is none of my business. On the other hand if there's a meet/dinner going on I may see if someone can pick me/us up from the hotel so I have something to do.
Any urban exploring type of stuff in Roswell? Apparently Harp Irish Pub is within what I would consider walking distance so if anyone has been there give some input.
Near Emory, you forgot to mention the Brickstore in Decatur.. One of the best Beer pubs on the East Coast.
Yeah, there are some amazing food stops by the airport, but it's pretty hood around there for the most part. However, there is some AMAZING food that way.. I always recomend for people to stay at the Highland Inn. It's pretty cheap, nice and you're right into the mix of some good Atlanta treats.
Dude, I don't go to the Brickstore, you know why. Snarky bartenders who look past me after i paid for three scotch tours and two rounds of beers are not on my menu. I left that place early because they were texting while I was waiting to be served. I go to Leon's their sister bar because they have good customer service.
If you are up in Roswell, I suggest you go to Swallow in the Hollow, or Dreamland. Also Killer creek is pretty good, but pricey. As far as bars go, I don't know much up there, but Andrettis speed lab is close.
