Last potato gun I saw was run off of an oxygen tank and a gasoline sprayer. It did not go well.

My potato gun runs on medical oxygen and propane, in a lean mixture. At stoich it would really blow up. I also cut a muzzle brake into the pvc.

Heh, we decided to make a cool little turret to put it in and aim it tonight.

We could be dropping the tank in Stoner Sam's e30 or putting an engine in it, but instead we choose to make illegal firearms to launch produce great distances.

Oh man, Stoner Sam, why is there always one in the crew. Needs more laser targeting, and I can also appreciate where your priorities lie hahaha.

Yeah. He came over today after work and the first thing out of his mouth was, "Have you fired the derp gun yet?"

So pretty much from 6 until 8:30 it was straight shooting that damn thing, lol. We're gonna put some grips on it and make a better trigger system for it. Found out that if you blow compressed air through it between shots you get better consistency as it doesn't get too "rich". I think we're gonna try to make a breech loader sometime soon....

So the turret idea is out becuase its so much more fun to shoulder fire it! Apples have become the perfered projectile becuase there are so many on sight. I think with the right a/f ratio it'll lob a apple over 200 yds! accuracy really depends on the ammo. Anyone have any suggestions on a reusable accurate projectile?

put two bolts 180* from each other about 1" apart through the chamber walls and hook up a cheap taser to it. Makes a great ignition source with that huge ass spark.

We used propane with a trigger valve on ours. We also had different "barrels" accommodating different size projectiles *cough cough* batteries

OIL FILTERS...enough said. When I used to manage a jiffy lube we threw out a bunch of truck filters that we never used. You know the filters that are like 8 inches high and 5 inches wide(insert penis joke later). He set one up with the filter and holy shit did it leave a crater in a wall.
